This weekend, the girls’ wrestling team competed at the Pratt Tournament and delivered a strong performance, finishing 5th overall as a team. They showed determination throughout the day, earning three individual placers:

• Genesis Orrantia – 1st place
• Alexis Luna – 3rd place
• Evelyn Sandoval – 3rd place

Overall, the team performed well and continues to show growth early in the season. While the results were encouraging, they still need some adjustments and improvement moving forward.

The boys varsity wrestling team competed in the Pratt invitational Saturday. The team walked away with four individual places and finished in sixth place with 96 points.

Individual placers include:

106 – Lill Osborn 2nd

144 – AC Gomez 1st

175 – Zayden Norez 2nd

285 – Elder Ramirez 1st

The kids improved greatly throughout the day and demonstrated toughness in every match. It was great to see them do well as a team and support each other on and off the mat. While we still have a ways to go., we’re definitely taking a step in the right direction.
