Great Bend Invitational

The girls team showed a strong showing to the start of the season against the 18 other teams at Great Bend today. Daniela and Jenny Casas led the girls to an 8th place with Cerda finishing 12th overall and Casas finishing 24th. The girls pulled together while being 1 girl down from the varsity team.

The boys were led by 3 seniors Cesar Pavia, MJ Foster, and Beto Torres. All 3 would place in the top 15 with Pavia at 6th, Foster at 11th, and Beto finishing 14th in his first ever Cross Country meet. They would led the team to a top 4 finish against a very competitive field.

This meet was a very competitive start to the year with teams from Witchita, Salina, and the WAC. Next week we will be heading to Hesston on Thursday for a meet where the athletes will run based on grade level.
