Lady Saints Reach Century Mark in Blowout Win Over Pratt

The Seward Lady Saints reached the century mark for the second time this season.  SCCC scorched the Pratt Lady Beaver 100-58 Wednesday night in the Green House.  It’s the most Seward scored this season since a 102 point outburst against Trinidad State November 1 at La Junta.

Pratt took an early 11-7 lead.  The Lady Saints led 21-14 at the end of the first quarter.  The Lady Saints led 29-17 with 4:37 to play in the half.  Kimora Fagan swished a three pointer from the right wing at the end of the first half for a 43-28 lead at the half.  Seward led 58-34 at the 4:34 mark of the third quarter.  SCCC took a 72-41 lead at the end of three.

The Black Hills Energy Player of the Game is Avery Marchino with 26 points and 11 rebounds.  Kimora Fagan scored 16.  Grace Posch scored a career high 16.  Tyniah Smith scored 12 points for her career high.  Trinitee Holmes scored 12.

The Lady Saints scorched the nets shooting 54 percent while going 11-23 from three point range and 15-17 from the free throw line.  Pratt shot 37 percent and 6-21 from three point range while going 6-8 from the foul line.  SCCC out-rebounded PCC 42-29.  Seward forced 20 PCC turnovers and led points off turnovers 24-9 while SCCC led points in the paint 44-30.

Pratt is 6-16 overall and 2-14 in the KJCCC.  They drop their 13th game in a row.  Seward is 15-8 overall and 10-7 in the Jayhawk .  Seward plays at Fort Hays Tech Sunday at noon central time with Saints Shoot-around at 11:50 on 1270 and 92.3.
