Brock Kappelmann - February 26, 2017 8:29 am

Seward played their last road game of the season Saturday afternoon in the brand new Dodge City Activity Center.  The building is capable of withstanding major disasters and tornadoes.  However the #4 Seward Lady Saints put that to the test as they exploded for a 97-48 win.

Seward led 32-13 after one quarter and 58-25 at the half.  Seward made 47 percent of their shots and 13-35 three pointers.  The Lady Saints held the Lady Conqs to 21 percent shooting and 4-26 from three.  DC3 had 24 turnovers.

Mollie Mounsey had 20 points and three steals.  Neidy Ocuane had 19 points with four assists.  Joanna Grymek had 12 points and 10 rebounds.  Valerie Caro scored 11 and Brennyn Seagler had  10 points and eight rebounds in the win.

Seward wins their 22nd consecutive game over Dodge City and 50th in the past 53 games.  Seward is 28-1 and 24-1 in the KJCCC.  Dodge City is 4-25 and 4-21 in the Jayhawk.  Seward hosts Garden City Monday night at 6 for Sophomore Recognition.  Saints Shootaround at 5:45 on 107.5 and kscbnews.net.  Bank of Beaver City is the buyout sponsor.  If Seward wins, they clinch at least a share of their first conference title since 2010.  SCCC finishes 12-1 on the road.
