The Seward Lady Saints left no doubt in a 91-49 blowout win over the Cloud Lady T-Birds Wednesday night in the Green House. Seward led by as many as 44 as Cloud played without their best player injured Camiah Muldrow.
The Lady Saints jumped out to leads of 15-6 and led 22-10 after one quarter. The Lady Saints lead ballooned to 31-12 in the second quarter. Seward out scored Cloud 25-11 in the third quarter and led 69-35 after three. The Lady Saints were consistent scoring 22,22,25, and 22 in the four quarters.
The Lady Saints used a smothering full court press to force 29 turnovers. Seward shot 42 percent from the field while making 9-26 from three point range. Cloud shot 28 from the field going 2-19 from three and 15-28 from the foul line. SCCC led points off turnovers 33-9. Seward out rebounded the Lady T-Birds 52-38.
Avery Marchino dropped in 23 points. Au’Rayona Seals was Black Hills Energy Player of the Game with a career high 18 points. Aneya Chambers added 13 points and six rebounds. Tyniah Smith had nine points and 11 rebounds.
Cloud is 8-10 overall and 4-9 in the KJCCC. The Lady Saints are 14-5 overall and 9-4 in the Jayhawk. Seward has won 15 in a row over Cloud in the Green House. Seward plays at Colby Sunday at 1pm with Saints Shoot-around at 12:45 on 1270 and 92.3 FM.
