Lady Saints Clobber Cowley on Homecoming

The Seward Lady Saints left no doubt Saturday.  With their highest output of the season, the Seward Lady Saints knocked out the Cowley Lady Tigers 104-55 Saturday afternoon in the Green House.  Avery Marchino scored 30 in the win.

Seward jumped out to leads of 5-0 and 7-3.  Seward led 21-6 after one quarter.  Seward led 21-6 after one quarter.  The Lady Saints took leads of 29-8 and 31-10 in the second quarter.  Seward led by scoreds of 33-13, 35-15, 39-17, and led 41-18 at halftime. Seward led 75-44 after three.

The Black Hills Energy Player of the Game is Avery Marchino with 30 points, 10 rebounds, and eight assists.  Kimora Fagan had 16 points and six rebounds with three assists and no turnovers.  Destiny Alexander had 14 points and six rebounds.  Trinitee Holmes scored 13.  Tyniah Smith had 11 points and five rebounds.

Seward shot 57 percent from the field making 10-25 from three and 16-18 from the free throw line.  Cowley shot 25 percent making 5-27 from three and 18-19 from the foul line.  Seward out rebounded CCC 51-29.  Cowley had 23 turnovers.  Seward led points in the paint 52-22.  SCCC scored 63 second half points.

Cowley falls to 14-15 overall and 10-13 in the Jayhawk.  The Lady Saints are 19-10 overall and 14-9 in the KJCCC.  Seward has won 7 of the last 8 against Cowley.  Seward hosts Dodge City Wednesday night at 6pm with Saints Shoot-around a 5:45 on 1270 and 92.3.
