Lady Red Swim Team Improves Times at Great Bend

Great 4th meet today at Great Bend.  We had multiple swimmers try new events and strokes for the first time this season.  With a small team of 29, we were able to secure a 5th place finish ahead of Holcomb. 3rd (Great Bend), 4th (Dodge City), and 5th were all separated by a mere 17 points.  The team was led by Jyzelle Juarez as she Medaled in the 50 free as well as led her relays with the fastest leg in the 200 Free (31.17) and 400 Free 1:11.07) Relay.  Alexis Ugalde also set a new PR in her 100 Fee by dropping 3 seconds(1:11.32), .25 behinds Jyzelle’s 100 free time.   Freshman Jordyn Myers continues to show significant growth as she sets a new PR in her 100 Free by dropping 12 seconds and getting the 4th fastest 100 free on the team in today’s meet.   The team will be traveling to Garden City next Tuesday in an all WAC meet.
