Hutch Brings Heartache to the Green House

It wasn’t supposed to end this way.  Not this year and not with this team.  But the upset minded Hutchinson volleyball team had other plans.  They came to town and shocked heavily favored Seward 3-0 Sunday night at the Region 6 Championship match in the Green House.  Seward lost 23-25, 24-26, 28-30 in the same building where Seward had brushed Hutch aside 3-1 just eight days ago.  The game was played in front of a large and frenzied Green House crowd.   Earlier in the day, Seward defeated Colby 3-1.  The Saints won 25-14, 20-25, 25-17, 25-11.  Hutch then defeated Garden City 3-0 before the Seward shocker.  Seward went 16-0 in the Jayhawk West and was unbeaten at home until the loss.  Seward finishes 33-2.
