The Liberal softball team ventured north to Hays to play the Indians for a single game Tuesday afternoon.  Hays topped LHS 10-4.

Liberal started strongly scoring four in the first inning.  Hays answered with one in the first, six in the third, and three in the fourth.  The Indians out-hit the Redskins 10-6.  LHS committed four errors and HHS had two errors.  Zoey Torres was 1-3 with three RBI’s and a double.  Brooklyn Short was 1-3 with a double.  Zoey Torres pitched two scoreless innings.

Hays improves to 11-8 overall and 5-4 in the WAC.  Liberal falls to 9-10 and 0-7 in the WAC.  Liberal hosts Hays Thursday at 4pm.
