Hays Holds Down Lady Red

The Lady Red faced a tough defeat against Hays, with a final score of 2-1 Thursday night at Hays.  The Indians took an early lead in the first half, scoring two goals, at the 11th and 34th minutes.

The Lady Red showed resilience in the second half, with a goal coming in the 10th minute from Senior Karime Neave, who took advantage of a corner kick delivered by Freshman Liliana Santiago.

The defense worked hard in the second half dominating the pitch for the last 40 minutes. The Lady Red managed to keep Hays from scoring any additional goals and possessed the ball the majority of the half. Despite out shooting the Indians in that half the Lady Red couldn’t find the equalizer.
