Haskell County Deputies Make DUI Arrest

While conducting routine vehicle patrol on April 25, 2026, Haskell County Deputies observed a vehicle failing to maintain lanes while traveling southbound through the construction zone on U.S. Highway 83 in Sublette. The vehicle continued southbound and subsequently increased its speed to 48 mph within a marked 35 mph construction zone while crossing through the intersection of County Road 180 and U.S Highway 83. Due to narrow lanes and no shoulders to conduct a safe traffic stop, deputies continued to follow the vehicle and attempted to stop the vehicle at the intersection of U.S. Highway 83 and U.S. Highway 56. At that point, the vehicle failed to stop and proceeded to turn left onto U.S. Highway 56, traveling eastbound until eventually pulling over near the entrance of Davis Auto Body and Restoration. Deputies approached the vehicle and contacted the driver, later identified as Jasmine Sanchez, and noticed an odor of a potential intoxicating beverage emanating from the vehicle. During this interaction, an additional patrol unit arrived on scene to assist with further investigation of the incident. Deputies then requested Sanchez to perform a Pre-Exit Sobriety Test, and later a Standardized Field Sobriety Test, to which she consented. After Sanchez was unable to satisfactorily perform the tests, she agreed to submit to a Preliminary Breath Test. Upon completion of the third tests, deputies placed Sanchez into custody, searched the vehicle, and subsequently transported Sanchez to the Haskell County Jail where she was booked and processed for driving under the influence of drugs/alcohol; first conviction; competent evidence of blood/breath .08+, and transportation of open container.
