Four Redskins Step Up in Amarillo

KSCB News - December 19, 2011 1:25 pm

Liberal wrestled shorthanded at Amarillo Tascosa this weekend and it showed. Liberal went 1-4 in duals with losses to Dumas, Caprock, Altus, and Palo Duro and a win over Borger. Four starters were unable to compete for a variety of reasons such as discipline and injuries.

But four Skins stood out Saturday. Cody Smith (138 lbs), Ayodale Braimah (145), and Gabe Beltran (heavyweight) went 5-0 while Trenton Wilson (152 lbs) was 4-1.

The Redskins are 6-14 in duals after going 3-5 at Rio Rancho, 2-5 at Colby, and 1-4 at Tascosa.

LHS hosts the Southwest Classic Friday and Saturday January 6 and 7 in the Big House.
