Domestic Violence Incident Results in an Arrest

On May 29, 2026, Haskell County Deputies responded to an incident that occurred at the 200th block of South Sequoya Street in Satanta. While enroute, the reporting party advised that the alleged suspect had broken into their residence and refused to leave, resulting in their request to have the individual arrested. Upon arrival, deputies were unable to contact the individual at that time. Subsequently, the alleged victim contacted the Haskell County Sheriff’s Office, requesting to speak to a deputy at the 700th block of Ponca regarding her being a victim of domestic battery. Haskell County EMS and deputies arrived on scene and contacted the individual who refused transportation to Satanta District Hospital for further medical evaluation. The initial reporting party, identified as Jan Roitz, was ultimately located and placed into custody by the Meade County Sheriff’s Office. Upon conducting proper arrangements, Haskell County Deputies transported Roitz from Meade County to the Haskell County Jail where he was booked and processed for aggravated domestic battery.
