Liberal senior runner Cesar Pavia is this week’s Hay Rice and Associates Athlete of the Week.  Pavia set the school record in the 800 with a 1:53.86 last weekend at the KT Woodman at Wichita State.  He broke Mark Farmer’s record of 1:56.1 from 1980.  His 800 time is 43rd fastest in the nation.  Pavia also won the mile in 4:33.  Pavia also runs cross country and swims at LHS.  He was 21st at the state cross country meet in 16:21.  Pavia has signed to participate in track and cross country at Butler Community College.  Pavia runs at the KU Relays in Lawrence this weekend.
