Bulldogs Look for More Bling

Brock Kappelmann - August 15, 2023 1:25 pm

Hooker continues to celebrate their state track title from the spring.  The Bulldogs championship rings have arrived and the HHS track team is understandably giddy to continue the celebration.  As the falls sports season begins, Hooker has their eyes on another prize.  Hooker made a run to the quaterfinals in 2022 going 9-4 and 10-2 in 2021 and 9-4 in 2020.  The Bulldogs have enjoyed success under coach Trevor Powers going 56-18 during his six years as head coach.  But in 2023, the Dogs are looking to bark their loudest in December with a gold ball in paw.

Hooker has eight starters back on both sides of the ball with 36 out for football.  They have a small senior class this year but a robust number of seniors can take the Bulldogs a long way. Some of the key Hooker players are Jr. RB/NG Peyton Parker, Jr. QB/DB Kleat Martens, Sr. WR/OLB Braxton Burge, Sr. WR/DB Omar Gomez, Jr. OL/DL Rhett Nunley, So. WR/DB Keilan Robinson, and Jr. OL/DE Cale Metcalf.

The Bulldogs were featured during the Sportsguys Tuesday morning.
