The Liberal Bee Jays wrapped up their Colorado road trip Thursday night at Scott Carpenter Park in Boulder. The Boulder Collegians rallied from 6-3 down to beat the Liberal Bee Jays 7-6.
Boulder scored one in the second. Liberal took the lead in the fourth with three runs. Cole Manuel doubled to center. Trenton Uyeda hit a two run home run to center. Cooper Kardokus doubled and Cole Manuel ripped an RBI double to left for a fifth inning run and a 4-1 lead. Boulder chipped away with two in the bottom of the fifth to make it 4-3. Liberal put up two in the sixth to lead 6-3. Cade Adams lifted a solo home run to right. William Bologna lofted an RBI double to center. Boulder took the lead with four in the eighth.
Braden Whipple pitched 4 and 1/3 strong innings with six strikeouts and one walk. Anthony Edwards went three innings allowing one earned run.
