On Monday, April 27th, at approximately 6:58 pm, officers of the Ulysses Police Department took a report of an assault that occurred earlier in the day at 820 E. Oklahoma Ave. This incident involved an 18 year old female victim and a 25 year old male suspect who was identified by the victim.

At approximately 9:23 pm, officers were dispatched to 1845 W. Oklahoma Ave. in reference to a robbery. During the incident, the same suspect, identified by the victims, allegedly threatened employees with an edged weapon and stole a case of beer before fleeing the area prior to law enforcement arriving on scene.

At approximately 10:23 pm, law enforcement located the 25 year old suspect at 2524 Annie Dr. in Ulysses. During the attempt to take the suspect into custody, the suspect resisted arrest but was ultimately apprehended without further incident. He was transported to the Grant County jail.

The investigation remains ongoing. The identity of the suspect is not being released pending official charges being filed with the Grant County Attorney’s Office.
