The McCook Indians battered the Seward County Saints 21-5 Monday at Brent Gould Field. The Saints walked 12 hitters in the loss. The Indians had 15 hits and Seward had seven. Both teams had two errors on a sunny day with temperatures in the 40’s.
The Saints scored one in the first to lead. McCook took hold of the game with two in the second and seven in the third to lead 9-2. Both teams scored in the fifth to make it 10-3. The Indians added single runs in the sixth and seventh. McCook put up nine in the eighth.
Blaine Chancy and Isai Santaella hit home runs in the loss. Isai Santaella and Juan Alvarez had two hits a piece.
McCook is 16-5 and Seward is 11-18. The Saints return to Jayhawk West play Thursday at 1pm at Brent Gould Field playing the Pratt Beavers at 1pm. Saints Dugout Show at 12:45 on 1270 and 92.3.
