The Liberal 4th of July Committee will host the Annual 4th of July Celebration on Friday, July 4th. The festivities will begin with a Downtown Parade that will begin with a line-up at 9:00 am at Trail Street and Kansas Avenue. The Parade will move north on Kansas Avenue at 10:00 am to Light Park. Theme for the parade is “Guardians of Freedom”.

The festivities will then begin in Light Park. There will be several vendors throughout the park and there will also be a Little Miss Firecracker competition sponsored by the Flower Coop. At 11:30 am, the City of Liberal will host a ribbon cutting and Celebration at the new Liberal mural. The Festivities will run until 4:00 pm. Adventure Bay Family Water Park will be free throughout the day courtesy of National Beef Packing Company.

Later that evening, the Liberal Bee Jays will take on the Dodge City A’s at Brent Gould Field with a public display of fireworks following the game. Fireworks sponsored by the City of Liberal, Community Bank, and Foss Motor Company.
