8B from Coach Pena –
All the girls did a fabulous job on their defense! They rebounded,
hustled for the ball, made steals, and played smart defense. Illiana Azarte
was on fire with 8 points, Yuly Molina scored 4 points and Zoe Laird scored
2 all during the four quarters. SRMS 14- 14 EMS, at the end of the 4
quarters. In overtime the girls really pressured EMS and did an excellent
job both on their offense and defense plays. Illiana scored 2 points and
Yuly scored 1 during overtime. The game was intense, but we pushed hard up
until the last second and were victorious against EMS. SRMS 17-16 EMS.

7A from Coach Kadow –

The 7th Grade Lady Apaches traveled across town Monday to Play EMS. It was
a hard fought game that shows promise for the future Redskins. In the A
game the Lady Apaches scored 12 points in the first quarter and EMS scored
2. At Halftime EMS closed the gap with the score the Lady Apaches 21 and
the Lady Warriors 14. The third quarter ended with the Lady Apaches 27
and the Lady Warriors 21. The Lady Apaches were able to hold off the Lady
Warriors with the Final Score Lady Apaches 33 to the Lady Warriors 28.

Rae Rae Dean had 9 points, Jaylani West had 7 points, points, Ana Vela
Armendariz had 7 points, Viviana Favila had 6 points, and Evelyn Sandoval
had 4 points.

 

Last night the Lady Warriors took on their cross town rival the Lady
Apaches. The Lady Warriors got down early in the first quarter by a score
of 10-2. The Lady Warriors fought back out scoring the the Lady Apaches in
the last three quarters but it wasn’t enough they came up short losing by a
score of 33-28.  Leading scorer was Haiden Lyon with 12pts, and Maliyah
Mullens with 8pts.  Leading rebounder was Maliyah Mullens with 12reb.

Last night the 8th grade Lady Warriors faced Seymour Rogers last night.
Starting off the night was B team. The Lady Warriors played their best game
offensively for the season. They took the Lady Apaches to overtime and a
last second foul was made by the Lady Warriors and the Lady Apaches made a
free throw defeating the Lady Warriors 16-17. In overtime. Leading the Lady
Warriors in scoring were Ashley Romero, Angel Luna, and Lorena Meza with 4
pts each, and Yuridia Rayas and Alina Alaniz with 2 pts each.
Next up was the A team. The Lady Warriors came out ready to play
offensively and defensively. Lady Warriors played as a team and dominated
the Lady Apaches. Leading scorer for the Lady Warriors was Trinity Olvera
with 19 pts, Madysen Hammond with 12 pts, and Angel Luna, Rebecca Davis,
and Shiaa Dunlap with 2 pts each. Final score was 37-14

Thursday night the 7A lady Warriors defeated Dodge City Comanche by a score of 52-9. Leading scores were Maliyah Mullens 12pts Miah Janko 11pts Haiden Lyon 10pts Devaney Carter 10 pts
Leading rebounder Maliyah Mullens 8 rebounds

7A from Coach Kadow – 

The 7th Grade Lady Apaches hosted Garden City Kenneth
Henderson on Thursday. In the A game the Lady Apaches
scored 12 points in the first quarter the Kenneth Henderson
0. At Halftime the score was the Lady Apaches 28 to
Kenneth Henderson 0. The third quarter ended with the
Lady Apaches 38 and Kenneth Henderson 0. Final Score
Lady Apaches 43 to Kenneth Henderson 5.

8A from Coach Sniff – 
The Apache 8th grade A team took on Garden City Kenneth Henderson last night. The Apaches lost the contest 8 to 42. The Apaches got into foul trouble very early in the game having 9 fouls before the end of the first quarter. Kenneth Henderson received 18 free throws in the first half. These fouls caused 3 of our starters to sit out the majority of the game and gave Kenneth Henderson an early lead that the Apaches could not come back from. We were led in scoring by Selena Ontiveros with 6 points.
 
8B from Coach Pena – 
During the first half of the game, we struggled to score. B team played really hard and more aggressively against Kenneth Henderson during the 2nd half. Zailee Navarro scored a free throw during the 3rd quarter. Iliana Arzate really attacked during offense and scored 4 points during the last quarter. During the 4th quarter B team worked their defense much better and only allowed KH to score 2 points. Final score 5 SRMS – 26 Kenneth Henderson.
