Meade Wins 8 Man Title

Meade won the 8 man divsi9on 1 football championship Saturday afternoon in Newton.  The Buffaloes knocked off Little River 22-14.  Meade took a 16-0 lead after running just two plays.  A 46 yard touchdown from quarterback Torren Haynes and a 52 yard touchdown pass from Haynes to Brock Keith.  Korben Clawson ran in both two point conversions.  The Buffas bolstered their lead to 22-6 on a one yard run from Clawson in the second quarter.  Neither team scored in the second half.  Haynes ran for 118 yards and threw for 162 yards.  Clawson ran for 109 yards.  Keith, who also helped Meade win a cross country title, caught three passes for 78 yards and had an interception.  Meade wins their five state championship in football and their first 8 man title in just their second season in 8 man.
