Middle School Results

On Sept. 15, 2020, The Seymour Rogers Middle School Cross Country team traveled to Hays, Kansas to compete with teams in WAC and some teams from Western Kansas.
The course at Hays, Kansas, was difficult due to hilly terrain.  Our team of 7th grade girls consisted of Alexa Macias finished her 1 mile race with a time of 13:20.
For the 7th grade boys, Joshua Talley ran a time of 9:57 with a great sprint at the end.  Zahir Ortiz placed highest for the Apaches.  Zahir Ortiz placed 14th out of 43 runners.  Mr. Ortiz ran a 7:15 mile which was a PR knocking 20 seconds off his previous time.
The 8th grade girls were represented by Ariana Cerda.  Ariana placed 22nd in a field of 46.  Miss Cerda ran a 2 mile race in 17:16.  She will be looking for a PR next week.
The 8th grade boys were represented by Enrique Morales at 22nd place, 14:42.
Erik Valenzuela 15:59 and Arnold Sanchez at 16:01.  They were followed by Alex Koerner with a time of 17:09
