Turpin Looks to Continue Playoff Streak

Brock Kappelmann - August 16, 2019 1:03 pm

The Turpin Cardinals have been to the playoffs five consecutive years.  They aim to continue that string in 2019.  Seventh year head coach Justin Hannah has 27 out for football at the class B school.   They have five starters of eight back on both sides of the football.  Turpin was 5-5 last season.

Some of the key Cardinals include Sr. OL/NG Brian Fernandez, Sr. Rb/LB Isaac Hammock, Sr. Wr/DB Carson Buller, Sr. OLLB Logan Wills, Jr. OL/LB Isaahia Olvera, JR. RB/DB Cesar Anchanda, Jr. OL/DE Zane Headrick, and  Sr. OL/NG Aaron Warren.  Hannah points to more depth as being a key to the season being successful.  He says weight room participation was improved this summer.

The Cardinals were featured during the Sportsguys Friday morning.
