Liberal Opens Track Season at Winfield

Brock Kappelmann - April 2, 2019 6:26 am

Coach Trace Haskell’s Comments:

“Today we had our first T&F meet of the season. Since it was rained out last
Friday it changed on how we approached the meet today. We used it as more
of a conditioning meet but we still expected the kids to give it their all.
On the boys side we didn’t load up all the events like we have done in the
past. This allowed a lot of our young kids to gain some varsity experience.
We lost a lot from last year and have a long way to go to reach many of our
goals but I see some future bright spots. On the girls side we are much
improved and lot of that has to do with more talented young girls to help
with our seasoned veterans. We are still missing some great athletes on
both the boys and girls side due to either injury or undisclosed team
issues, but we look forward to growing our student athletes both on and off
the field for another great season.”
