LHS Volleyball Shocks East but Falls in Sub State Final

The Liberal volleyball team didn’t travel 380 miles to go quietly into the autumn afternoon in northeast Kansas.  The Redskins traveled to Gardner-Edgerton for their first ever 6A sub state on Saturday afternoon.  Liberal, the 11 seed, beat sixth seeded Wichita East 25-22, 25-23.  East finishes 25-13.  Liberal lost to the host Gardner-Edgerton 17-25, 14-25.

Aubrey Warden led the way with 12 kills.  Machia Mullens added nine.  Haylee Parker had 29 digs.  Logan Dodge had six aces.  Liberal finishes their season 18-19.
