Lady Saints Bounce Butler

Seward led by as many as 23 on the way to a 72-58 win over the Butler Lady Grizzlies in the Green House Wednesday night.  Eighth ranked Seward led 22-15 after one quarter and led 40-26 at halftime.  Seward led 48-26 and led 56-39 after three quarters.  Seward’s lead was 62-39 in the fourth quarter.

The Lady Saints forced 26 turnovers and overcame 26 turnovers.  Mollie Mounsey scored 21 on 8-15 shooting and Vilma Covane had her break out game with 13.  Seward made 13-38 three pointers (38%).  Seward held Butler to 37 percent shooting.  Seward head coach Toby Wynn is now 21-2 against Butler.  Seward is 4-0 and 2-0 in the Jayhawk while Butler is 4-1 and 1-1.  The Lady Saints play at Cloud Saturday night at 6 with Saints Shoot-around at 5:45 on 107.5 and kscbnews.net.
