LHS Girls Gain WAC Road Win

Liberal returned the favor. Last week Great Bend’s girls soccer team beat LHS 1-0 at Redskin Field. Last night, the LHS girls traveled to Great Bend and gained their first WAC win 1-0. Kayla Gokey scored Liberal’s goal three minutes into the second half. LHS had eight shots on goal and dominated on possession. LHS had about three breakaways but came up short. Great Bend missed a penalty kick to tie it. Reyna Gonzalez played what coach Carlos Ruiz called her best game of the season. The Lady Skins are 4-5 and 1-4 in the WAC and plays at Hays Thursday.
