Redskins Rally for Regional Title

Liberal’s soccer program won their first regional title in three years Thursday night. The Redskins went to Wichita and beat Bishop Carroll and Carroll Field 2-1. The Eagles led 1-0 at the half. But Mike Fonseca scored at the 28 minute mark to tie the score. Eliel Gonzalez scored the decisive goal to give the Redskins the 2-1 lead. They would hold on and win by that score. Liberal plays at Salina South Tuesday at 6.
