LHS Offense Comes Alive in WAC Opening Win

After going scoreless the previous two games, the LHS girls soccer team broke through Tuesday evening at Cornelsen. Liberal beat Great Bend 6-1 in their WAC opener to begin a key week with two WAC home games in three days.

Carolina Limon scored three goals and dished three assists in the win. Kelly Ramirez added two goals and Great Bend scored one goal into their own net. Monica Aquino, Yvette Vazquez, and Wendy Vela added assists.

Liberal is 3-2 and snaps a two game losing skid after losses of 2-0 to Winfield and 3-0 to Dodge City in Wichita. LHS is 1-0 in the WAC and hosts last year’s WAC champ Hays Thursday with the varsity game a 1 at Redskin Field. Great Bend is 0-4 and 0-1 in the WAC.
