LHS Freshman Celebrates Birthday with Stellar Tennis

Great Bend edged out Garden City with 14 team points to win the Western Athletic Conference girls tennis title Monday at Blue Bonnet Park in Liberal. Garden City finished with 13 points, Hays had six, Dodge City scored four, and LHS notched three points. Great Bend Macy Moyers received the honor of the WAC Player of the Year and Great Bend’s coach Shannon Schartz received WAC Coach of the Year honors. Liberal freshman number two singles player Tierra Stoney celebrated her birthday with a third place medal going 2-2. Liberal travels to Goddard Saturday for regionals.
