Saints Set Up Jayhawk West Title Game with Win Over GCCC

Seward set up a Jayhawk West championship game Wednesday night with a 79-56 win Tuesday night in the Green House over the rival Garden City Broncbusters. Seward shot 53 percent while forcing 22 Garden turnovers. The Saints sunk seven of their 17 three pointers.

Kaheem Ransom scored 27 points while grabbing six rebounds, dishing five assists, and picking four steals. Leslee Smith scored a season high 18 points on 8-11 shooting and grabbed eight rebounds. Edson Avila scored 11 in the win.

Liberal’s Jade Cathey scored 15 and pulled down 10 rebounds in the loss.

Seward is 22-7 overall and tied with Hutchinson for first at 13-2. The Broncbusters are 11-19 overall and 3-13 in the Jayhawk West.
