Dodge City Shocks Seward

In a season which began with such promise and a #14 ranking, the Seward volleyball team sees their season end before the calender switches to November. Dodge City, a team Seward handled with ease twice during the regular season, shocked Seward 3-2 Tuesday night in front of a shocked Green House crowd.

Seward County lost (23-25, 25-9, 25-15, 18-25, 9-15).

The Saints finish 19-20 after an 11-3 second place finish in the Jayhawk West under 8th year head coach Bert Luallen.

Sophomores Bailey McFerren, Alyssa Olson, Satanta’s Aubree Young, Liberal’s Lakeria Eatmon, Sarah Miller, and Jasmine Bryant played their final games for Seward.

Dodge City (15-23) advances to the four team double elimination portion of the tournament at Newman University in Wichita this weekend.
