Results for Scott City Varsity Girls Tennis

September 17 th

Colby took 1 st Place honors with 44 points followed by Liberal and Tribune tied for 2 nd Place with 32 points. Other competing teams included Scott City, Ulysses, and Garden City.

Individual results:

#1 Singles—Maddie Rees went 5-0 finishing 1 st Place. She defeated Scott City’s Holly Wilcoxson 6-0, Tribune’s Machaela Blakely 6-0, Colby’s Sarah Lamm 6-4, Ulysses’ Alyssa Flores 6-1, and Garden City’s Khaing Pyi 6-0.

#2 Singles—Lauren Harp went 4-1 finishing 2 nd Place. She lost to Colby’s Madison Rogers 6-2, then ran the table defeating Scott City’s Jody Gunther 6-0, Tribune’s Mariah Brown 6-4, Ulysses’ Aranthxa Dillon 6-0, and Garden City’s Michaela Wagley 6-1.

#1 Doubles—Jaycee Darroch/Stephanie Sanchez went 3-2 on the day finishing in 3 rd Place. They lost to Colby’s Wallington/Keck 6-2, and Tribune’s Harris/Veleta 6-1. Then, they defeated Scott City’s Rice/Rodriguez 6-4, Ulysses’ Davidson/Balderroma 6-5 (9-7 tie breaker), and Garden City’s Robinson/Baguero 6-1.

#2 Doubles—Vicky Calderon/Samantha Rodriguez went 0-5 on the day.
