Buffaloes Stampede to Finals

The Meade Buffaloes are in the 2A state basketball finals. Meade handled Madison/Hamilton 71-50 Friday afternoon in the semifinals at Bramlage Coliseum in Manhattan. The Buffaloes are 25-0 and play Sterling for the state championship Saturday night at 6:15.

The Buffaloes used a dominating 23-10 advantage in the second quarter to lead 39-24 at halftime. Meade led 57-34 after three quarters.

Morgan Davis scored 17 points and grabbed nine rebounds while Gunner Cordes scored 14 with six rebounds. Randy Friesen registered a second straight double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds. Jett Little dropped in 11. Adrian Pfanenstiel scored eight.

Meade plays a Sterling team who beat the Berean Academy 50-44.
