Two Saints Make JUCO Junction List

KSCB News - November 10, 2011 3:31 pm

Two Seward County basketball players are recognized on the JUCO Junction top 150 list. Seward’s Deverell Biggs and Daveon Boardingham make the list as two of the top players in NJCAA. Biggs is ranked number 24 and Boardingham is number 63 on the list.

The 6′ guard from Omaha Central High School Biggs averaged 14 points and four steals per game at Western Texas last year for current Saints assistant Jason Sautter. Biggs burst onto the Saints scene with 26 points, 11 rebounds, and eight assists Saturday night against God’s Academy Prep School.

Boardingham is a 6’7" forward from Newark, New Jersey. The freakishly athletic Boardingham from Shabazz High School in New Jersey averaged 11 points and seven rebounds per game for the Jayhawk West champion Saints last year. He had 23 points and nine rebounds in the first half of a season opening win over the Sterling JV Friday night.

The Saints play 2-0 Highland Friday at 3:30 with coverage beginning at 3:15 on Talkradio 1270 and kscbnews.net.
