Sumner Jumped Out to Lead in Lakin

KSCB News - October 3, 2011 6:40 am

Evan Sumner finished 9th for the Lady skins at Lakin this Saturday. Evan shot 100 but her front nine and back nine were two different stories. Evan shot a 44 on the front nine and at that point she was the clubhouse leader. The back nine had other plans for her. Head coach Kody Thexton says it was a tough back nine.

"She struggled on a couple of holes and it really cost her. She was upset with her back nine and how it slipped away from her. This will provide modivation for Evan, it will make her stonger as regionals are right around the corner."

Next tournament is at Great Bend on Tuesday at stone bridge golf course.
