Hooker Eliminated in Regionals

Hooker’s baseball team lost both of their games at the Class A regionals in Pioneer Thursday to finish 16-8. The Bulldogs lost to the host Pioneer 10-0 in six innings. Hooker had just two hits. Oilton beat Hooker 9-3 in the elimination game. The Bulldogs beat Turpin 22-13 last week to win district at Turpin. HHS had a young team under 4th year head coach Chad Hussey. Some of their key players included sr. p/3rd JD England, so. 2nd/OF/P Payson Slater, so. C/OF/P Chad Kennedy, jr. P/SS Brandon Goosen, and fr. utility player Taylor McBee. Hooker also advanced to regionals last year. Here is the box score from game one.
