One Person’s Trash is Someone Else’s Treasure

KSCB News - March 21, 2011 1:59 pm

One person’s trash is certainly another’s treasure! Recently the
Women’s Tennis team at Seward County Community College donated a large
quantity of gently used tennis balls to the therapy team of EnduraCare
Therapy Management. The therapy team offers inpatient and outpatient
Physical, Occupational, and Speech-Language Therapy Services at
Wheatridge Park Care Center and Liberal Good Samaritan Society. Thanks
to the generosity of the tennis team, the therapists will be able to
repurpose the tennis balls for a variety of therapeutic activities and
will be able to fit walkers for a number of individuals. Head Coach
Darin Workman expressed how happy he was to be able to help a great
cause by saying "this is such a great opportunity for our girls to give
back to our community that is so welcoming to them during their two
years here in Liberal. Some of these young ladies come from thousands
of miles away to play for us and the people of Liberal make them feel so
comfortable that think of it as their second home even after they move
on to their four year school."
