PERRYTON, Texas (KFDA) – A Perryton man was arrested in Oklahoma for capital murder of a child under the age of 10.

Perryton police say, on April 25, Texas Rangers assisted Perryton police in a capital murder investigation.

Texas DPS says this stems from an investigation into the death of an infant.

Officials say this led to the arrest of 26-year-old Terrell Leon on June 25 in Texas County, Oklahoma.

He is charged with capital murder of a person under the age of 10.

He is currently being held at the Ochiltree County Jail.

Officials say no further details will be released at this time.
