420 safety campaign stressed driving sober

Seward County Sheriff’s Office joined law enforcement across the country during the If you Feel Different, You Drive Differentsober driving safety campaign. From April 15-21, deputiesincreased presence on local roads educating about the importance of sober driving and the effects of driving under the influence of drugs, including marijuana.

Seward County Sheriff’s Office recorded the following statistics during the campaign:

Speeding Citations: 55
Seatbelt Citations: 14
Texting while Driving Citations: 2
Hazardous Moving Violations: 14
Suspended / Revoked Citations: 2
Other Violations/Arrests: 110
Total Traffic Stops (Contacts): 205
