The Liberal Redskins traveled to Lawrence to play the defending state champion Free State Firebirds in the 6A regional Monday afternoon.  The Firebirds ended it early 11-0 in five innings.
Free State scored three in the first.  They plated two with two outs in the second.  Free State scored four in the third and two more in the second.  LHS struggled against Nebraska bound right hander Zane Shaw who struck out the first nine batters he faced.  He struck out 13 Skins.  Eathan Hernandez had Liberal’s only hit.   LHS pitching walked 11.

Free State is 23-4.  Liberal drops their ninth straight and finishes 9-18.
