KSCB News - March 26, 2015 7:08 am

The man known for his doubles used a triple to make Wednesday a good day to be green. Brent Williams whacked a triple off the wall in right in a 4-4 tie in the eighth. He scored on a wild pitch and Seward won 5-4 over Clarendon on a cool and windy Wednesday at Brent Gould Field in Liberal.

Seward scored three in the first and one in the second to take a 4-0 lead. Hugoton’s Yates Sutton pitched a scoreless first before leaving with arm soreness. Grant Glaze picked up the Saints on the mound chewing up 5.1 innings allowing two earned runs. Chris Juracek pitched 2.2 innings without allowing an earned run and got the win. Williams was 2-3 while Alex White and Dillon Drury also had two hits a piece. Alec Isaac drove home three runs.

The Saints are 13-17 and Clarendon is 10-21. Seward hosts Rose State coach by former Saints and Bee Jay Coty Cooper Saturday at 3 and Sunday for a double header at noon.
