Waterway Advisory Issued for the Arkalon Park

Residents and animals should not enter the water at any time at Arkalon Park.

The City of Liberal has issued a waterway advisory for Arkalon Park.

The advisory is a result of a mechanical issue at the Liberal wastewater treatment plant. The mechanical issue has been corrected.

The advisory has been issued because potential elevated bacteria and contaminants may be present in the Arkalon Park waterways.

If you live or have activities near this area, as already posted, do not enter the water or allow children or pets to enter the waterways.

As already posted, fish consumption is prohibited.
