USD 480 Board of Education Meets

USD 480 met Monday Evening for their regular meeting. Here are the results of that meeting.

1. 2011-12 Budget- Action

A motion was made to approve 2011-12 Budget with an amendment that would require at least one ten minute recess for students that are in grades K-6.

Failed with a 2-5 vote.

Passed with a 5-2 vote

2. Health Insurance (To approve the new proposal from Blue Cross and change the vision insurance to Vision Care Direct.) – Action

Passed with a 7-0 vote

4. Wireless Installation (To approve the state bid from AOS in the amount of $13,580.00 for installation of WISm and AP’s) – Action

5. Trend Micro OfficeScan Renewal (To purchase through AOS for the state bid of 16,252.52.)- Action

Passed with a 7-0 vote

6. Sunflower Air Conditioning (Approve the bid of Luck Refrigeration of Liberal for $17,750.) – Action

Passed with a 7-0 vote

7. Heartspring Contract for Student Services (Contract for Heartspring to Provide Special Education Services by licensed Kansas Teachers for USD 480.) – Action

Passed with a 7-0 vote

8. Food Bid (Accept Ben E. Keith as Primary vendor and US Foods as secondary vendor for the 2011-2012 school year.)-Action

Passed with a 7-0 vote
