USD 480 Board Meets in a Special Meeting

The USD 480 Board of Education met on Friday for a Special Meeting and approved the architectural services proposal from Architect One in the amount of $61,250 to develop renovation plans for the Liberal High School Library.

The Board also approved the architectural services proposal from Architect One in the amount of $68,600 to develop design and specifications for a rain screen to be installed on the LHS auditorium exterior.

After an announcement at the previous Board Meeting of Superintendent Carter’s intention to retire, the Board approved the KASB to move forward with the Superintendent Search.

The Board approved the proposal from Sports Design Group in the amount of $56,250 to develop and implement a bid package and design to convert the East Campus field to artificial turf.

In the final action item, the Board approved the COSSBA Conference in the amount of $16,700.
