The USD 480 Board of Education met Monday evening in regular session and approved several items including the purchase of outdoor storage buildings for the five elementary buildings, the continuation of student-athlete accident insurance with Al Shank Insurance, and several vehicle purchases for the transportation department to replace older vehicles in the fleet.  The older vehicles will be placed for bid with PurpleWave, an online auction site. Also, Leyson Construction was the awarded the winning bid of $33,000 for concrete work at the parent drop-off/waiting area at Prairie View Elementary. Finally, the BOE approved the purchase of ClassLink, a single sign-on service that creates a dashboard where students will be able to access all of their computer apps and services from a single location with one login.
