USD 480 Board Approves Updates to the Attendance and Tardy Procedures

The USD 480 Board of Education met on Monday evening at East Campus. After approving the Consent Agenda which included donations and overnight trips, the Board approved the addition of 1 assistant coach position for Eisenhower Middle School Boy’s Wrestling Program. Also approved was the finalizing of the property transaction with the City of Liberal for the remaining portion of USD 480’s Pine street property.

The Board approved the quote from Southwest Glass in the amount of $17,799.00 to replace doors at the McKinley Building, and approved Resolution 11-10-25 adopting the Kansas Homeland Security Region D Hazard Mitigation Plan.

Mrs. Forney discussed updates and the Attendance & Tardy procedures that are part of the new plan that would begin the second semester. After discussion the Board approved the changes to the LHS Handbook as presented.

Also approved were the goals for the Board Strategic Action Plan.
