The USD 480 Board of Education met on Monday evening at 6:30 pm at East Campus. The Board approved the Consent Agenda as presented before moving on to New Business. In News Business, the Board approved Early Graduation for the following students: Linettee Garzona Gardea, Elias Alvarez Lopez, and Johnathan Naasz. Next the Board approved a one time stipend to pay four individuals of $2,568 which comes at the discretion of the Superintendent.

Next the Board approved bathroom partitions for Cottonwood and Sunflower from Integrated Openings Solutions at a cost of $136,985.00 for Cottonwood , and $128,120.00 for Sunflower.

Approved was the purchase from Pur-O-Zone in the amount of $19,215.28 for custodial supplies for the District, as was the quote from Dean E. Norris in the amount of $11,387.50 to replace a compressor on one of the Variable-Refrigerant-Flow units at Liberal High School. The compressor itself is still under warranty, but the labor is not.

The Board approved the 2026-2027 School Year Calendar. The faxcom contract died for lack of a motion, however, the SEED Agreements were also approved as presented
