Ulysses Woman Charged In Shooting

Ulysses resident Lexy M. Garza faces charges of shooting at an occupied dwelling, aggravated assault and felony obstruction of the legal process, the Ulysses Police Department said Thursday in a news release. She is being held in the Grant County Jail on $150,000 bond.

Garza is the wife of Ulysses resident Ramiro Garza Jr., who was charged earlier this month with aggravated assault, an aggravated weapons violation and criminal possession of a firearm in connection with the shooting. Ramiro Garza is being held in the Grant County Jail on $200,000 bond.

A preliminary hearing for the couple is scheduled for 9 a.m. June 4 in Grant County District Court.
