Two Vehicle Accident Sends Two to the Hospital

A two vehicle accident occurred Wednesday afternoon at approximately 3:21 pm on Highway 54, 5 miles East of Liberal.

A 2012 Freightliner semi being driven by 27 year old by Oscar Jovanny Diaz-Ramirez, was Northbound on Seward County Road O, while a 2003 Chevy Silverado being driven by Luis Angel Dominguez Galindo, 27, of Plains was Westbound on Highway 54. The semi failed to yield to the Silverado causing the Silverado to strike the semi.

Galindo and a passenger in the pickup, Astrid Alazahy Gonzalez, 24 of Plains, were taken to Southwest Medical Center to be treated for their injuries.
